Online Couples Therapy in Ontario
Room for both of you, messy parts included
Sometimes the loneliest moments are sitting next to the person you love, but still feeling alone. Maybe conversations keep ending up in the same argument. Maybe you're stepping into a new chapter, either together or separately, and the ground feels unsteady. Or maybe something feels broken, and you're not sure how to name it, or fix it.
I'm a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) offering virtual couples and individual therapy across Ontario. In a warm, non-judgmental space, we'll get curious about what's happening between you and what's underneath it, so you can understand each other more deeply.
When couples come to therapy
There's no right time or reason to reach out. Couples often come to me for:
Communication breakdowns: feeling unheard, shutting down, or having the same tired argument over and over
Life transitions: entering a new phase together and finding your footing as a couple
Repairing a rupture: working through a rift and reconnecting
Maintenance: maintaining the structure of your relationship in a contained space.
I welcome heterosexual and 2SLGBTQ+ couples at any stage of their relationship. You don't need to be able to name exactly what's wrong to begin.
How I work with couples
My approach is rooted in Psychodynamic Therapy, with the care of Emotion- Focused Therapy (EFT) woven in. I lead with the emotions in the room. We’ll look at what's coming up for each of you, and where those feelings come from. We'll look at patterns, past and present, and how they show up.
Both of your experiences matter. I aim for balance, so you each have room to share and be heard. Some sessions may naturally lean more toward one partner, but always with the goal to help you both understand each other more deeply.
Curiosity over blame. We will get curious about the cycle, rather than the culprit. There's often a reason behind the behaviours that hurt, and we'll try to uncover that together.
Space for the messiness. When emotions run high, we don't have to rush to fix them. We'll learn to work with them, understand where they come from, and move toward solutions together.
Trust. I want you both to feel you can trust me. This will be the priority in our earliest sessions.
What to expect
A no-fee 30-minute consultation for both partners, together. A no-pressure chance to ask questions, share what brings you here, and to see if we're a good fit. If we aren’t a good fit, I will help you find someone who is.
Optional one-on-one sessions. If it feels helpful for your partnership, each of you can schedule one individual session. There are no secrets in these sessions. Anything shared is material we can lean on in couples sessions.
Couples sessions together. All other sessions are with both of you. Therapy isn't one size fits all, so how often we meet and how many sessions you need depends on you as a couple.
Virtual couples therapy is $180 per 50-minute session for couples across Ontario, and the initial consultation is free. Join together in front of one screen or from separate devices, whatever works best for you.
Nervous about starting? That's okay.
If you're worried I'll take sides or place blame, that isn't how I work. All the messy parts of you, as individuals and as a couple, are welcome here. There's no shame in wanting support, and you don't have to have the perfect words to begin. The consultation is a good place to ask me anything.
